'Tinker,' 'Drive' lead London Critics' Circle race

LONDON -- Brit espionage thriller "Mess Tailor Soldier Spy" and Ryan Gosling starrer "Drive" lead the 32nd London Critics' Circle race, receiving six nominations each. Tomas Alfredson's "Mess Tailor" received noms for film, British film, film author (Peter Straughn and Bridget O'Connor from John Le Carre's tome), actor (Gary Oldman), British actor (Oldman) as well as the technical achievement award for production designer Maria Djurkovic. "Drive," helmed by Nicolas Winding Refn, is nominated for film of year, director, actor (Gosling), supporting actor (Albert Brooks), British actress (Carey Mulligan) and technical achievement for top high cliff Martinez's original score for your pic. Asghar Farhadi's "A Separation" and Lynne Ramsay's "We must Discuss Kevin" each received five noms, while using former nominated for language pic as well as the latter nominated for British film of year. Michel Hazanavicius' "The Artist" and Steve McQueen's "Shame" each received four nominations with "The Artist" nominated inside the film category and "Shame" nominated inside the British film section.
