Dancing while using Stars' 11 couples undertake their second dance of the year with either the jive or perhaps the quickstep. How did everyone do? Let's uncover!I have to admit, since i have comprehend the steps split, I am afraid it will accomplish this although everyone is walking lower, creating the sparkliest mosh pit ever. Anyway, I digress.Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: jiveSoccer kicks and jive kicks have absolutely nothing to keep, dontcha know? They're fitted in soccer clothes, and I have to admit the positive thing from this is Maks' dorky knee-high socks. It's an optimistic factor Hope looks super cute because she's, uh, hopelessly off-pace and from sync. I really think she's just kicking an imaginary football. But that's not to imply she's not trading in your time and energy. She's totally inside it, but that's inadequate if you fail to nail the moves. Len loves it, but highlights they lost timing. Naturally, Mark digital digital rebel mucks some misunderstanding by choreographing a relaxation in hold. Sigh. Bruno is bedazzled with the blonde bombshell and nearly decapitates Len worrying in regards to the finish. Barbara Ann states it's stunning. David's slightly tentative round the kicks and films, but he comprises for the along with his over-enthusiasm. I heart David. Seriously. He's as being a puppy that merely desires to please, and you'll tell he's trying so desperately. Courteney loves it! And Coco caught his coat! (Please come every week, males, OK? Thanks.) I am hoping he busts out all 64 colors like Crayola eventually. Glasses aside, we have our first broadcast "fight" of the year. Elisabetta's to not get the moves and Val's Maks-like temper surfaces. Elisabetta is much more more suitable now than last. Her technique still needs work and there's inadequate conviction in their steps, but her frame is nice they doesn't appear as nervous. I am unable to say a Hawaiian shirt makes anybody look thinner, but that's neither here nor there at this time around. The whole routine might be a risk-free, but its likely better using this method for Make the most of. He's on beat and contains some decent work. There's nothing spectacular relating to this, there's however nothing nauseatingly bad relating to this either. Kris and Bruce appreciate it! Bruno states he gained great improvement. Nevertheless the whole factor is not fast whatsoever, the shame. Chaz certainly has potential, however when his body's betraying him much inside the second week, it's tough seeing him go completely before finish. Chuck Lorre Hints At Writing A Tell-All

Is Chuck Lorre dying to tell his side of the Charlie Sheen saga? Lorre’s vanity card at the end of tonight’s Two and a Half Men episode could be a clue. With man-possessed overtones, the latest of his traditional end-credits notes appears to cast the newly legally settled Men debacle as a reality show starring Lorre, who now has an undead “thing” inside him scratching to get out: CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #351 Sometime last year I realized I had become the unwilling contestant in a reality show. I didn’t understand the rules, wasn’t sure if there even were any, and pretty much hated every second of it. For many months I kept hoping and praying that it would end. But it did not. Somewhere along the way, something inside me died. Anyway, now, suddenly, I’m being told that the reality show’s been cancelled. Apparently, it was just one of those things that somehow got out of control. Sorry. Whoops. Live and learn. Moving on. Game over. And that’s fine. I am so good with that. Yes, please, let’s all move on. There’s just one problem. That thing inside me that died? It walks at night. It’s angry. It’s hungry. And worst of all…it’s writing a tell-all book.

Desperate Housewives Episode Recap: "Secrets That I Never Want to Know"

Terra Nova To get the first episode of Fox's dinosaur drama Terra Nova made, it reportedly took $15 million and more than a year to plan; there were production delays, changes in the writers room, pilot reshoots, and plenty of time spent on getting those CGI dinosaurs to look as good for TV as they did in 1993's Jurassic Park. "Some people do heroin, I do high-concept shows," jokes series star Jason O'Mara, who last played a cop traveling through time the critically lauded but short-lived series Life on Mars. After reading the first script for Terra Nova, the actor says he had just one thought: "Well, there is no way they're going to be able to make this for TV." And it's no wonder. The logline reads more like the plot of a big-budget summer movie than a weekly network show: In Terra Nova, the Shannon family flees the overpopulated, heavily polluted world of 2149 for a land 85 million years in the past where they will be part of a colony designed to give humanity a fresh start. In their way? Human nature. And dinosaurs. Six things you need to know about Terra Nova It's an ambitious and expensive bet, even for Fox, which gave us the equally risky musical comedy Glee two years ago. Expectations for Terra Nova's premiere on Monday (8/7c) are proportionately high. Despite the delays, everyone's sounding confident. "Yeah, there have been some bumps along the way because it is really tough to do this for TV, but we're giving it our best shot," O'Mara says. Executive producer Brannon Braga (24) adds they've also figured out how to have 12 executive producers involved. "The worst phase was the e-mail phase, because that's not efficient at all, but we finally found a way where everyone could communicate. It's a very smart group of people and at the end of the day, they've been helpful because every detail of the show is tended to and nobody misses a thing." But the real make-or-break question is whether or not they've pulled off a world filled with computer-generated creatures and landscapes sleek enough for post-Avatar audiences. The good news is that much attention has been paid to the look of the series - so much so that the network's planned May debut was moved to September to ensure the special effects were up to snuff - and Terra Nova will even boast new breeds of dinosaurs. "They don't all look like versions of a Komodo dragon or a crocodile," O'Mara says. "Some of our dinosaurs ... [have] personality. Some are pretty vicious and just really sick." Jack Horner, a renowned paleontologist who worked with Steven Spielberg on Jurassic Park, also fleshed out what was previously known about well-known dinosaurs. Velociraptors, for example, are now believed to have feathers, which they'll sport on the show. Terra Nova's got other dino-sized selling points, too: Spielberg is listed as an executive producer - by all accounts, his fingerprints are all over the show - and the story is firmly family friendly. "We're not going to be able to keep the kids away because they're dinosaurs in it," O'Mara says. "What we're going for is something like a good Pixar movie that gives adults enough to enjoy but the kids get a kick out of it, too." Fall Preview: Get scoop on your favorite returning shows So don't expect the terror - and, yes, the gore - to be toothless. Braga says the tone is not unlike classic action-adventures series such as The Swiss Family Robinson. "It was filled with humor and warm moments," Braga says. "But what would it be without scary things and threats and danger?" That's where the more grown-up stuff comes in. Dinosaurs are frightening, but most of the threats will come from the humans themselves. Overseeing the colony is self-appointed leader Commander Taylor (Stephen Lang), a formidable, enigmatic man who unilaterally runs the compound as though it's a military operation. He's at odds with a mysterious group of colonists who broke away from Terra Nova called the Sixers, and they take their orders from unknowns in 2149. Producers say ethical questions about how to rebuild civilization will also come up. In one early episode, someone in the colony is murdered and several will go head to head with Taylor over how to handle the criminal. Asks Braga: "At what point does this become a democracy as opposed to benign dictatorship? How will they work out all of these sociological problems? These are all questions we'll explore in the first season." Check out photos from Terra Nova And then there are all the mythological questions raised by the premise alone: What are the rules of this world? Why does the portal through time go only one way? If it goes one way, how are the Sixers communicating with people in the future? Who are the Sixers anyway? "I think the decision was made quite early on that whatever questions we ask, we also answer," O'Mara says. "There's nothing we can't explain." And how's this for one solid answer from executive producer Rene Echevarria: "We know who the Sixers are and why they're here and we intend to dramatize that this season." Check out a preview of Terra Nova, premiering Monday at 8/7c on Fox:

Two on Twain: The Review

Mark Twain isn't just the most crucial author in American letters. Throughout yesteryear century, Twain themself -- the whitened suit, the cigar, the folksy advice -- is becoming an legendary character. Now, two new books -Body a memoir, another a bit of comedy -- get the icon because the jumping-off point for his or her own tales. Nobody has been doing more to shape our picture of Twain compared to actor Hal Holbrook (All of the Leader's Males, Wall Street), that has been playing him inside a one-guy show more than Samuel Clemens did -- 57 versus 47 years. Harold: The Boy Who Grew to become Mark Twain (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, $30) covers only the first 35 many years of Holbrook's existence, from his truly Dickensian childhood -- abandoned by his parents, one for that stage and also the other to have an insane asylum, at 2 -- to barnstorming across the nation like a youthful actor. The truly fascinating part covers the fifteen years from college graduation to fame playing Twain on Broadway and may be subtitled "the training of the actor along with a guy." Holbrook not just creates insightfully about learning the craft of acting and also the work that went into creating Twain but additionally frankly about his ambitions and also the toll they required on his family. "I see now I had been a crippled figure. ... The kids. Such a mess. I dropped the ball there ... allow them to get to sleep to ocean when i was fighting it with Harold to discover who the hell he was." That type of energetic self-reflection should earn Harold a location around the shelf associated with a ambitious actor. In Mark Twain's Autobiography 1910-2010, (Fantagraphics, $19.99), Adult Go swimming contributor and comics creator Michael Kupperman (Lizard 'n' Sausage) reworks Holbrook's Twain like a Zelig-like immortal cruising via a century of existence after his 1910 dying. The storyline is told in three dozen short sections, a couple of which are highlighted comic-style. A few of the tales are amusing koans of absurdist comedy -- Twain because the unknown 4th astronaut around the Apollo 11 mission is fabulous. Even though it sometimes has the design of a Saturday Evening Live skit extended right into a feature film -- perfect in small doses but not sustainable on the longer haul -- the premise is simply too good to abandon. Will Forte Joins Neighborhood Watch

MacGruber plays The SargeAdding a dash of SNL lunacy to the already eclectic cast, Will Forte is the latest addition to Neighborhood Watch, Akiva Schaffer's comedy starring Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn. The film's about a group of suburban dads forming a neighbourhood watch group as an excuse to hang out and drink beer: a plan that comes somewhat undone when they find themselves up against a plot to bring about the end of the world. Hate when that happens. Not much is known about Forte's role thus far, other than that he's called Sergeant Bressman , which kind of suggests a cop that the amateurs encounter. Whether it's a big part (fnar) or more of a cameo is also unclear, but it at least seems unlikely that Forte will be bringing any of his MacGruber skills to save the day. Neighborhood Watch also stars Jonah Hill, Rosemary DeWitt, and the just-announced Richard Ayoade as Jamarcus. It's due for release next July, and will be Forte's fourth movie released next year, alongside I Hate You Dad, Rock of Ages and Billion Dollar Movie.

Why Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt Are the Frontrunners in Oscar's Best Actor Race (Analysis)

Of all the films that had their world premieres at this year's Toronto International Film Festival, the one that got the biggest awards boost, by far, is Bennett Miller's Moneyball, which stars Brad Pitt (pictured). The film experienced plenty of turbulence on its way to the big screen -- two years ago, its original director, Steven Soderbergh, left the production over creative differences just days before shooting was to commence, and Aaron Sorkin was brought on to re-work Steven Zaillian's adaptation of Michael Lewis' best-selling book about Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane -- but it was well worth the wait. Critics and the public have cheered it as not just another "baseball movie," but one with a more universal appeal. Which brings us to the Academy... As I see it, Oscar nominations are certainly possible for picture, director, adapted screenplay and even score, but the film's biggest threat to do some awards damage -- and indeed the heart and soul of the film itself -- is Pitt. I don't see how he doesn't get nominated (playing a real, likable, noble character very well checks off a lot of boxes), and, having now seen almost all the films with possible best actor candidates (with J. Edgar, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio as J. Edgar Hoover, being the one glaring exception), I truly believe that he could even win. PHOTOS: 13 Movies to Know at the Toronto Film Festival After all, who else is there with a serious shot in the category? Yes, George Clooney is very good in The Descendants, but it's a downer of a movie, and besides, he has already won once before, just six years ago, so it's unlikely that he'll be awarded another (especially over DiCaprio or Pitt, who have yet to win their first). And, sure, it's possible that Frenchman Jean Dujardin could pull off a Roberto Benigni-like shocker for his first-rate work in the black-and-white silent film The Artist, but my guess is that a nomination, in and of itself, will be his award. PHOTOS: 'J. Edgar' First Look: Leonardo DiCaprio as Legendary FBI Director, Naomi Watts as His Secretary That leaves Pitt, 47, and DiCaprio, 36, which could make for a very interesting race. Neither has ever won before. Both are popular people and respected craftsmen. Both rose to prominence in the early '90s -- Pitt through Thelma & Louise (1991), DiCaprio through What's Eating Gilbert Grape? (1993) -- and have been working steadily, at high levels, ever since, in collaboration with tons of people who are now in the Academy. Thus far, Pitt has scored one supporting nod, for Twelve Monkeys (1995), and one lead nod, for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), for a grand total of two; DiCaprio, meanwhile, has scored one supporting nod, for What's Eating Gilbert Grape? (1993), and two lead nods, for The Aviator (2004) and Blood Diamond (2006), for a grand total of three. FILM REVIEW: 'Moneyball' It's silly to speculate too much about a Pitt v. DiCaprio race until we've actually seen DiCaprio's performance. That being said, I've heard from people who have already screened J. Edgar, but are not working on its behalf and have no vested interest in its success, that he will be very hard to beat. Still, I wouldn't discount the fact that the real-life inspiration for Pitt's character, unlike DiCaprio's, is (a) likable, and (b) still alive and able to endorse the performance. At the end of the day, especially in a close race, those two things could make all the difference. Brad Pitt George Clooney Leonardo DiCaprio Oscars Moneyball The Descendants J. Edgar

Alcon Entertainment Sets Up 'Point Break' Remake

Another day, another remake. Alcon Entertainment -- home to 'The Blind Side,' 'The Book of Eli,' 'The Wicker Man' remake, and the upcoming new Ridley Scott 'Blade Runner' project -- has announced it has acquired the rights to Kathryn Bigelow's 1991 buddy boy action pic 'Point Break.' Vaya con dios? As you know from endless re-watching, the original 'Point Blank' stars Keanu Reeves as FBI agent Johnny Utah who infiltrates a gang of surfers believe to be the bank robbing "ex-presidents" (called that because they wear masks of ex-presidents); the leader of the gang is hot-blooded action freak Bodhi (played by a very buff Patrick Swayze), who forms a bond with Johnny. According to the press release, the new version is set in the world of international extreme sports, and -- like the original -- involves an undercover FBI agent infiltrating a criminal ring. Other plot points in the Kurt Wimmer ('Salt,' 'Law Abiding Citizen,' the upcoming 'Total Recall' remake) screenplay have not been revealed. Warner Bros. -- which will release 'Point Break' -- is hoping to get the project in theaters quick, with the script going out to directors soon. According to the producers: "Who doesn't love the Kathryn Bigelow original and its pure heart-pounding action and thrills? Kurt's take infuses the story and characters with new twists and settings ... 'Point Break' wasn't just a film, it was a Zen meditation on testosterone fueled action and manhood in the late 20th century and we hope to create the same for the young 21st!' [via Deadline]

Arnold Schwarzenegger in Talks to Star in Action Thriller 'Captive'

Politics. Who needs it? After learning two days ago that the former Governator signed on for a "substanial" role in 'The Expendables 2,' it looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't stopping there. Deadline is now reporting that Ahnuld is currently circling the lead role in 'Captive,' an action thriller about an American real estate magnate who gets kidnapped in Brazil and held for ransom in an armored car. With a script by Benjamin van der Veen already in place and a year left to find a director before shooting starts in 2012, Arnold seems eager as sin to drop the tie and get back in the action game. Still waiting for a casting confirmation, but at least we've got two more years to get used to the Arnold comeback until 'Last Stand' hits theaters.
