The part of Asha Greyjoy will be played by Gemma Whelan, who appeared in 2010s Benicio Del Toro film The Wolfman, Access Hollywood has confirmed. As producers first confirmed to Access Hollywood at Comic-Con, Asha is being renamed. Asha will now be called Yara Greyjoy. Producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss told Access at Comic-Con that they were working on the name change because Season 1 already had a character named Osha the wildling woman who survived after attacking Bran Stark in the woods, and was later taken in as a chained servant at Winterfell.
